5 Seconds of Summer: LIVESOS Review!

Hi Guys!
The first ever review I posted on this blog was of 5SOS's self titled debut album, so when I heard they were releasing a live version of the critically acclaimed album, of course I had to check it out!
'LiveSOS' (clever pun) is a 16 track album full of live versions of the quartet's songs. After seeing the boys live quite recently, I know how good they are, and I was worried that they would find it hard to bring that energy and enthusiasm across through speakers but boy was I wrong.
The album starts with the belter that is 18, and it shows just how talented this bunch of lads are, with immense guitar riffs and impressive drum beats. The album seems to get better as it progresses, and I have to draw particular notice to Long Way Home, which is a particular favourite of mine, along with Beside You, which gives Hood his chance to shine - the bass line in that song is one of the best I have heard in a long time. Heartache on the Big Screen is another one that I have to mention; it's a guaranteed crowd pleaser, and you can practically feel the energy lift as soon as the song starts. This band is extremely talented, and the few off notes in End Up Here and Disconnected end up reminding me how young they actually are. I seem to forget how quickly the boys got famous, and the tiny little mistakes show that they're eager and willing to learn. Furthermore, the fact that there are a few covers on the album show that they're eager and willing to please a wide range of audiences: their cover of American Idiot is one of the best I've ever heard, and the riffs in there literally blow me away.
The whole album is incredible. It shows the creativity and talent that the band possess. This year has been huge for them, and no doubt 2015 is going to be even bigger. I for one am excited about where this band is heading. They're slowly showing that despite being four boys in a band, they are most definitely not a boyband, and with their millions upon millions of fans, I can't see them going anywhere any time soon. Whether you like them or not, you need to get used to hearing their names, because 5 Seconds of Summer are here to stay.

I would give this album 10/10.
Until next time,
