All Time Low: Future Hearts Review!

Hey guys!
Today I am going to do a review of All Time Low's new album, Future Hearts.
Now I've lost track of the amount of times that I have been to see ATL in the past few years, so to say I was excited for this album is an understatement. I was worried that I might have built it up too much in my head, and that somehow the album was not going to live up to the hype, but it definitely does.
I have listened to this album on repeat for the past 72 hours and I'm still not sure if I know how to convey my thoughts into words.
The album is a big 'fuck you' to all the critics that said ATL wouldn't be relevant after 6 albums, and to those who said that the band hadn't matured. The band's fun and playful persona is the reason why fans keep coming back for more.
Having said that, the album is just as much for the critics as it is for the fans. With the help of John Feldman, the band have been able to put together an incredible punk rock album, with a dash of pop to keep fans of all genres happy.

The album starts with power horses such as 'Kids In The Dark' and 'Kicking and Screaming', showing us what ATL does best.
I was surprised however when 'Missing You came on. Don't get me wrong, I love the song, it just seemed very mellow in comparison with the rest of the album. Gaskarth moves away from his signature high notes and delves into the low ones. It's a welcome change, but not one I expected. They quickly bring it back to more familiar footing with 'Cinderblock Garden'.

The biggest surprise of all on the album were the collaborations with Mark Hoppus (blink-182) and Joel Madden (Good Charlotte). The songs are actually really, really good, I like them alot, especially 'Bail Me Out'; I think it's one of the catchiest songs on the album. Unfortunately for me, I just don't see how these collabs fit with the overall feel of Future Hearts.

I personally LOVE this album. ATL have managed to produce yet another crowd pleasing album, and I have high expectations for it's placing on the charts all across the world.

Until next time,
MG xx
